Introducing Aljaž Mauko from Slovenia performing at the 2021 World Cup on the Accordion Virtual Polka Championship held in Toronto, Canada and achieving 3nd place OVERALL in the competition.
Aljaž has been playing the accordion for 7 years. He has participated in more than 40 competitions both domestically and across Europe winning quite a few awards, including;
− 2019 World Cup in Austria (9th place in the category under 12 to 17 years)
− 2019 European competition in Italy (3rd place in the age category 11 to 14 years)
− Appearances at the 2019 and 2020 National Performance (1st place Gold Award in 2020 in the age category up to 12 years).
− Regular participation in the international competition for the Avsenik Award, where he received Gold Awards in the years 2019 and 2020.
− 2019 Absolute Winner for the RUTAR Cup in Austria .
− 2021 Winner at the 15th International Meeting of Accordionists in Murska Sobota (in the under 15 age category) .
